TillerPillar: a Carbon Fiber Tiller Extension for Suzuki DF9.9/15/20HP Motors

Regular price $280.00

A carbon fiber tiller extension built to fit the Suzuki DF 9.9/15/20HP outboard motors.  Easy to install and remove.  You do not have to modify the motor for installation. A remote switch for tilt and trim (if applicable) or jack-plate is available.

The listed length is for the overall length of the TillerPillar, including the area that slides over your existing grip. Measure from the largest circumference of the grip; the portion closest to the cowling.

IMPORTANT: Please verify the rubber grip on your motor matches the rubber grip in the first picture on this page. If you have any questions as to which TillerPillar model you should order, please send an email to sales@carbonmarine.com with a picture of your rubber grip and we would be more than happy to assist you.

NOTE: The rubber grip on this particular motor does not have any sort of taper or draft on the grip. This means that our TillerPillar may not slide on all the way to the rear. This is normal; the TillerPillar can be operated just fine as long as more than half of the rubber grip is covered on this model only. During installation onto a new motor all of the rubber on the Suzuki handle is fighting against the TillerPillar and gives a lot of resistance compared to other rubber handles. Clean the factory rubber grip with alcohol, then use soapy water to aid in installation if desired. It is also worth noting that having some rubber exposed is desirable as it gives a person somewhere to grip during removal of the TillerPillar.
